Parts that are hydroformed, extruded, bent, cast, stamped or welded can have the components installed in a secondary operation. The operator loads the part into the machine part nest, clears the light curtain, and initiates the cycle. The operator is protected from the machine working parts by fixed guarding on 3 sides and an operator side light curtain. The force required to set the component into the part can be provided by servo actuators, air / oil actuators or hydraulic cylinders. Components to be installed can be loaded into the machine by the operator or fed automatically. If fed automatically, the feeders can be connected directly to the machine or on a separate stand. Components can be installed into the part from the top down, bottom up or cam action.
