Stand Alone Die Sets

Stand-Alone die sets work within a customer's press. Stand-Alone die sets are typically used for hydroformed, extruded, bent, cast, stamped, welded or low volume parts.

With a stand-alone die set, the operator loads the part into the part nest, clears the light curtain, and initiates the cycle. The operator is protected from the tool's moving parts by the customer's press guarding.

The force required to set the component into the part is provided by the customer's press. The components to be installed can be loaded into the machine by the operator or fed automatically. If fed automatically a gravity feeder, step feeder or air blow feeder can be used. Components can be installed into the part from the top down, bottom up or cam action.
